This little book started in a 2010 Letterpress class and was completed after an extended and intermittent production period which required a great deal of patience and learning. The cover and inner leaf are Lokta Papers. The text paper may be Classic Crest. The book was printed on various presses at Asheville BookWorks in Asheville, NC.
The type is handset with Garamond, Futura.
The quotes were gathered from “Last Words”, a feature of the Buffalo Field Campaign (BFC) email updates. BFC, based in West Yellowstone, MT, is the only group working in the field to protect the herd of wild bison living in and around Yellowstone National Park. A main goal of the organization is to gain safe habitat for these magnificent animals to roam free as they had for centuries.
Artwork is all created by Laura Ladendorf and reproduced either with linocuts or photopolymer plates from drawing or scratch negatives.
